We are a branch of the BC Old Time Fiddlers called Kootenay No. 9. Formed in Castlegar in 1981, we are a non-profit organization with members from all around the Kootenays, and our motto is "To Promote Fiddling".

Our members now play at community events, private functions and care homes in the Castlegar, Trail and Nelson areas as well as having jam sessions once a week. You can book us to entertain your guests or audience. We love to play at community events, private parties, seniors' homes, and at very reasonable rates.

Become part of the ongoing tradition of Old Time Fiddling. You don't have to be a musician to join us. We have members who simply want to help and volunteer at our events. There is always so much to do at our Annual BBQ, Fiddle Camp, dances concerts etc. We need volunteers to help with running the club too - people who can do graphics, update our website, do our finances, write grant applications, publicity and advertising, and a million other things! You could also just come to socialize or to relax and enjoy the music. Membership is $15 per year.
