The Cultural Advisory Committee, comprised of Castlegar Arts Council members, provides the Castlegar and District Recreation Commission with advice and recommendations on strategic cultural development direction and related matters. The Committee also serves as a liaison function for organizations in the community who are engaged in the development and delivery of cultural programs and initiatives which are intended to promote and enhance programming, business and tourism opportunities. The primary goal of the committee is the identification of Castlegar as a central Arts and Cultural destination for Castlegar residents and visitors.
