Bee Glade Farm & Fibre

Bee Glade Farm & Fibre is a small nursery located near the Kootenay River in Glade, BC. We cultivate a landscape that promotes an abundance of native bees and insects, birds and bats. Glade is accessed via a four minute, on-demand ferry. Come by our nursery and browse our plant selection or just take a wander through our gardens - we have many mature specimens and we are always happy to share info & ideas.

You can find us at all the May Garden Festivals in Nelson, Castlegar, and Kaslo. We attend the local Glade Market and the Hills Garlic Festival. In 2019 we are looking forward to participating in the Columbia Basin Culture Tour.

Besides perennial plants, we offer concrete garden art at Bee Glade Farm: plaques, stepping stones & bird baths. The pieces are finished with original stains, paints, iron and copper, or they can be left unfinished and customized to suit.

Besides perennial plants and concrete garden art, our crafting involves spinning and weaving with local fleeces and finished fibre. Much of it is hand dyed, including felting fibre. We sell skeins of wool, woven blankets, scarves, and felting wool. Extending the many uses of fibre, I use vintage windows to display fibre 'painting' - my ideas for these pictures come from the garden and nature. For more information, visit our website.

Come out and see us at the nursery - Glade is a wonderful community with Trans Canada hiking trails, kayak and boat access, a beautiful waterfall, bicycling and cross country opportunities…
