Kootenay Rocks creates pebble art in shadow boxes and birdhouses made from recycled license plates. We have participated at numerous local venues, including Kootenay Festival, Kootenay Gallery and Castlegar Christmas craft fairs, as well as many throughout the region such as Kootenay Artisan Craft Fair at the Prestige in Nelson, Market Fests in Nelson on Baker Street, Trail's Farmers Markets, Baker Street Farmers Markets, Cottonwood Farmers Markets and Rossland Farmers Markets. Items can be found on display at various local businesses throughout the year.

Creating art is when we feel most alive. Being involved in markets and cultural events throughout the area allow us to meet amazing, generous and interesting people. We never planned on becoming "artisans"; our way of life is to do what we can by figuring out how to fix it or to make it ourselves. Participating in events allows us to meet other artisans and our customers, face to face, and being there when they start to smile! That's the best part, when we make a connection with the people.
