I used to watch my mother sew for hours. She taught me to sew at the age of 7; I immediately loved it and continued making doll clothes. I lost her when I was 10, but still wanted to keep going, so my aunt was available when I needed it. All of my aunts were, and some still are, professional seamstresses; it must run in my blood?

I have been sewing for more than 40 years and have done everything from wedding dresses, doggie apparel, baby clothing, Christmas stockings, purses, totes and lunch bags to sewing with leather and suede and doing machine embroidery. It is my passion. I make all my gifts, personalizing them with embroidery. I find it difficult to purchase something when I can make it myself and custom work makes it much more personal.
