I am visual artist who was born and raised primarily on Vancouver Island. My early memories include walking through lush forests and along the beaches. These experiences seeded my appreciation of nature and inspiration to paint. Although I settled in the West Kootenay, I have traveled widely in Canada, the Middle East, Asia and Central America. Along the way I have learned to value our way of life here as unique in the world. Therefore my paintings shift from portraying the beauty of British Columbia to images of the Third World. These days I paint in acrylics although I have enjoyed watercolor and oil as well.
