The Portuguese Social Centre Association was incorporated as a society in 1978. Its purpose is to establish, maintain, operate and carry on activities of a cultural, social and educational nature for its members.

As a community organization interested in supporting local students, a bursary fund was established and is available to qualifying high school graduates.

The association organizes several events throughout the year that are open to the public. Anyone is welcome to attend these events and experience a bit of Portuguese culture.
