The Castlegar Garden Club hosts the Annual Castlegar & Area Garden Tour in the latter part of June; always on the Sunday following Father's Day. Approximately ten gardens in Castlegar and the surrounding communities are featured in this self-guided tour. Admission is by donation to the local charity selected for that year.

The sound of flute music by the Wind River Flute Quartet wafts above the gardens, bringing reminiscences of a bygone era. Often local artists and art is featured in one of the gardens.
